What I Love

 My name is Ryan Wilson and I live in Gilbert, Arizona. I am a proud father of 3 little girls. I’ve been married for 12 wonderful years, to an amazing woman who fully supports me and my crazy dreams and goals. My family is full of life, love and happiness. I want to continue to make them proud and show them, you and the world what I have to offer.  I’m the founder of Force Armory and I want to share my story with you. 

Back in September of 2015, I came across the world of custom lightsabers and have been sucked in ever since. The way they glow at night, and the beautiful color trails they leave when spinning just get me in all the right places. The best part about them was the combat side, fighting with lightsabers had always been something I had dreamed of doing and now it was there in front of me and available to me. 

I jumped head first into buying the barebones gear and sabers and decided that combat and lightsabers were my hobbies for life. I also have a huge passion for making and understanding how things work together. My thirst for knowledge on how to design a product and create it drove me to start working with 3D design and more specifically 3D printers, injection machines, plastic shredding machines, injection molding and plastic chemical properties.

During the early days of exploring my newfound hobby, I found the most pressing need in the combat world was gloves. This is a need that bleeds across multiple industries like lightsaber fighting, Soft, Bokken, Wooden, LARP, HEMA, SCA and really any combat that uses melee weapons that I can think of. I have a lot of concerns about almost everything that is out on the market right now with a few exceptions and compromises. These concerns are shared amongst all the above communities. With the limited knowledge and a ton of passion I set myself on a journey of trial and error to find the perfect material and design for a modern pair of combat gloves. After many years of development and changes I have finally landed to where I am today in 2022 with an amazing product to offer and a boat load of excitement to change the combat world.
